What is a "Lookalike"? +
With the Lookalike discovery tool, you'll input a few Instagram profiles to show the MightyScout algorithm what you're looking for. MightyScout will find more profiles with similar qualities. Our system looks at multiple characteristics at once — such as category, aesthetic, location, follower count, and more — saving you the time of looking at each characteristic individually. For example, if you provide five make-up artists with fewer than 10,000 followers each, you are likely to find over a hundred similar make-up artists with micro-followings.
What is influencer vetting? +
Influencer vetting is the process you use to evaluate an influencer's performance and audience fit prior to selecting them for your campaign. Our Influencer Lookup and Audience Insights reports allow you to dig deeper to check historical performance metrics and audience fit for your target market.
What is lookalike discovery? +
Lookalike discovery excels at creating a roster of influencers who resemble a target influencer you've identified as ideal. It's especially useful for brands or agencies seeking influencers who closely match or are closely related to those they've previously collaborated with or identified.
What are the pros and cons of a lookalike search? +
The benefit of lookalike search is that you can quickly narrow down influencers within a category. You can often find up-and-coming influencers this way as well. The downside is that you can't find influencers from scratch—you'll always need to provide at least one lookalike profile for us to find more results. In those cases we recommend using the general search first, before doing a lookalike search.
Why do I keep seeing irrelevant profiles in my feeds? +
Occasionally, a search may yield irrelevant profiles due to similarities in the algorithm's parameters that aren't immediately visible. We suggest hiding these profiles to refine your results.
What if I run out of MightyScout credits? +
Your credits will automatically replenish each billing cycle, but you can also purchase more credits directly. Credits can also be used to redeem audience insight reports for the profiles you've discovered.
