You could spend days demoing software to learn about Modash alternatives. Or, you can spend five minutes reading this guide to create a short list.
We’ll compare Modash with seven other leading influencer marketing platforms, highlighting key features, pricing, and unique selling points.
So, sit back, relax, and let us help you make a shortlist in just a fraction of the time.
MightyScout: Specializes in comprehensive tracking and accurate analytics for Instagram and TikTok.
Aspire: Provides a full-featured platform with a creator marketplace of 1M across the major social platforms. Offers “done for you” services too.
Influencity: Offers a global influencer database at a low entry price.
CreatorIQ: Offers AI-driven influencer marketing features, with a focus on discovery and campaign management.
Traackr: Known for its global database of influencers and building authentic relationships at scale.
GRIN: Designed for big-budget e-commerce brands. Best with “paid influencers.”
HypeAuditor: Provides a range of features to find and analyze influencers, invite and contract with them, manage campaigns, track some activity, and report on performance.
Modash is a specialized influencer marketing tool praised by customers for its large, searchable influencer database and influencer analytics. It's not an all-in-one influencer marketing software (yet), but the features it has are stronger than those of software platforms that try to do it all.
Marketers of growing brands, especially those who have global targets or who need to find a large number of new influencers on an ongoing basis.
Influencer discovery: Along with its global database of 250M influencers, Modash offers comprehensive influencer data including interests, location, audience interests, followers per social media platform, and audience demographics.
Influencer analytics: Vetting analytics such as engagement rates and audience authenticity (fake follower) metrics help marketers analyze influencers’ followers.
Tracking: Modash tracks influencer status (e.g., did they share content or not) and auto-collects content.
Limited features: Modash is a newer entrant to the influencer marketing industry and is building out its range of features. Beyond the influencer discovery and influencer vetting analytics, it offers strong influencer tracking capabilities and influencer payments, but is missing or has limited features for bulk influencer outreach and influencer CRM.
MightyScout, a cost-effective influencer marketing platform, is best known for its tracking, analytics and reporting. MightyScout reliably tracks the content most other platforms cannot (i.e., Stories, product seeding, product gifting, and influencer events). Plus it automates the analysis of data to produce insights and custom reports.
MightyScout does not require long-term contracts and has a 30-day money-back guarantee. Affordable pricing makes MightyScout attractive, even as an add-on to your influencer tech stack.
MightyScout is best for brands and agencies that need reliable tracking and collection of content, and powerful influencer and content analytics and custom reporting.
Get rid of spreadsheets and streamline workflows for tracking, analytics and reporting.
Larger brands and agencies add MightyScout to their influencer marketing tech stack for specialized influencer tracking and content-capture abilities other platforms lack.
Tracking and capture: MightyScout automatically tracks influencers and captures all influencer content. (You'll know when an influencer has shared content or missed a deadline, and the content is automatically captured. No need to ask an influencer to send content.) MightyScout stands out for reliably tracking and capturing the most challenging content: Stories, product gifting, product seeding and influencer events.
Reporting: Instead of spending hours or days creating a report, let MightyScout do it in minutes. Customizing reports is a snap, whether for different time periods, unique formats for each client, or to make comparisons (year over year).
Analytics: See your content and metrics “in-platform.” Easily sort the content by your choice of metrics so you can make decisions about which content to use in ads, which influencers to invite as influencer affiliates, and how much to pay influencers.
Efficiency and time savings: Multiple users here and here report cost savings from automating influencer management and campaign management, tracking, analyzing and reporting.
Multi-brand/agency features: If you work with multiple brands, MightyScout has unique features to make life easier.
No automated influencer payments: You can log your payments in MightyScout but you pay influencers manually (e.g., via Venmo or Paypal).
No whitelisting or Spark integrations: If you use whitelisting or Spark ads, you’ll need to do it directly through the social media platform.
No outreach function: MightyScout does not currently offer a bulk email outreach feature.
No campaign briefs: You'll need to link to an external document to provide campaign briefs.
Limited e-commerce integration support: MightyScout supports Shopify and WooCommerce only.
MightyScout is a great alternative to Modash that should be considered for users needing accurate reporting, campaign and content analytics, multi-account management, and tracking capabilities. Here’s where MightyScout is different:
Reporting: MightyScout offers powerful custom reporting capabilities with flexibility for multiple brands.
Content and campaign analytics: MightyScout simplifies analytics by providing in-platform views of influencer content, sortable with a drop-down menu of analytics choices.
Tracking: Both offer tracking and auto-capture of content, even the toughest use cases.
Discovery: MightyScout offers look-alike lists and social listening to identify influential customers and fans. Modash offers its searchable database of 250M global influencers.
Influencer analysis: Both MightyScout and Modash offer audience analytics for influencer vetting.
Aspire is best for large-budget brands that use United States-based influencers for paid and affiliate influencer marketing. Also a fit for brands that need agency services.
Influencer discovery: Aspire offers multiple ways to find influencers including: a search engine of 500k profiles, a Creator Marketplace where influencers apply to your campaigns, and image recognition AI to find creators with your desired aesthetic. Users report high satisfaction with Aspire’s discovery functionality.
Campaign management: Aspire automates creator outreach, statuses, content approvals, and creator payments within the platform.
Agency services: Aspire offers “done for you” service for customers that need additional support.
Social media platform: Aspire supports Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest, a broad range of social media platforms compared to competitors.
Pricing: The price may be out of range for some brands. No trial offered and a long-term commitment is required.
Tracking: Aspire has tracking limitations. It is not a good fit if product seeding, gifting or influencer events are important parts of your influencer marketing strategy.
Full service vs. specialized: Aspire offers more of a full end-to-end service from discovery, influencer outreach, CRM, campaign management, tracking, analytics, reporting, Shopify integration, affiliate tracking, and done-for-you agency service.
Modash is specialized, offering influencer discovery, vetting and tracking as its core strengths.
Discovery: Aspire’s creator marketplace has 1M creators compared to Modash at 250M. Aspire has additional discovery features on top of the marketplace. Aspire users have reported its database is strong in the United States, but not strong globally.
Tracking: Aspire has content tracking limitations for "unpaid" influencers (e.g., product seeding, gifting, and events). Modash does not have tracking limitations.
Pricing: Aspire’s monthly price is $2499 per Capterra, but we don’t know what tier that is for. Modash starts at $99 per month.
Purchase risk: Users report a long-term contract requirement for Aspire. Modash offers monthly services. Aspire does not offer a trial. Since Modash offers a free trial and only a monthly commitment on top of a low entry price, the purchasing risk is low.
Influencity is best for brands that need influencer discovery and influencer vetting features, but are not focused on accurate tracking, content collection, and post-collab analytics capabilities. Influencity’s database is also a fit for brands that need global influencers.
Discovery: Strong influencer search filtering capabilities for 170M influencers on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. Good option for finding global influencers.
Affordable entry-level price: Influencity offers affordable entry-level price points.
Trial: Allows a 7-day free trial.
Customer satisfaction: Influencity customers are highly satisfied.
Tracking: Influencity does not track and capture content automatically. The burden is on the client to find the content and import the URL into Influencity. If automated tracking or content capture is important, Influencity is not a fit.
No e-commerce integrations: Influencity has a Shopify integration but with limited capabilities. Influencity cannot report revenue attributed to your campaigns.
Affiliate payments: Influencity does not make payments to affiliate influencers from the platform.
Limitations of basic plan: At the lowest of three pricing plans, currently $168 per month, there are limitations: you do not get access to a dedicated success manager, you can only create one list, you can analyze up to 30 influencer profiles per month, and you cannot download reports of creator profiles.
No campaign scheduling: Influencity does not allow you to schedule campaigns from within the platform.
Discovery: Influencity has 170M influencers and Modash has 250M in their searchable creator databases. Both are on the larger side of competitive influencer databases.
Content tracking: Modash automatically tracks influencers and captures content. Influencity does not automatically track and capture content. Rather, users must import the URL of the influencer content to the Influencity's platform.
Front end strength: Both are newer, modern tools with strong influencer discovery features but are not fully built out yet.
Purchase risk: Entry pricing is low for both and long-term contracts are not required by either. Pricing is publicly shared on their websites.
CreatorIQ (CIQ) is a premium-priced platform for large enterprises. It includes a full range of features for influencer marketing, including: discovery, campaign management, influencer payments, affiliate support, and custom reporting.
Customer support: This high-touch and attentive service provider gets high support ratings from its customers.
Strong integrations: CIQ supports 7 social media platforms, and numerous e-commerce and marketing and advertising tools.
Private influencer marketplace: With CreatorIQ, you can create a private marketplace of influencers through your brand’s portal.
Discovery: CIQ’s private network of 15M influencers is on the smaller side compared to some competitors.
High price: The price is steep at $36k/year per Capterra.
Tracking limitations: CreatorIQ is not a fit if product seeding, gifting or influencer events are an important part of your influencer marketing strategy. It has limitations with tracking "unpaid" influencer's content.
Purchase risk: CreatorIQ does not offer a free trial, has a high price, and requires a long-term contract, making it a higher-risk purchase. Check reviews and talk to current and previous customers to reduce your risk.
Full featured vs. specialized: CIQ is a full-featured platform with end-to-end support of influencer marketing programs.
Modash is a specialized influencer marketing tool with fewer but strong features. It has a boastworthy 250M influencers in its global database, provides strong analytics for vetting influencers, and strong tracking capabilities. But is limited on the campaign and content analytics, analysis and reporting.
Social platforms: CIQ supports seven social media platforms. Modash supports three.
Discovery: CIQ has 15M creators in its database. Modash has 250M. Both offer influencer audience insights and demographics to evaluate influencers for selection.
Large, enterprise brands with a large budget for influencer marketing software. Traackr has deep experience with beauty brands.
Full-featured: Traackr is a feature-rich platform with discovery, influencer audience evaluation, relationship management, campaign management, and reporting options.
Tracking: Traackr has strong tracking capabilities but some users report delays.
Social media platforms supported: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch, and Snapchat.

Affiliate support: Traackr has features to help you manage and track affiliate influencers.
E-commerce support: Traackr integrates with Shopify.
Team orientation: Traackr makes it easy for team members to work together.
Pricing: Traackr’s pricing starts at $20k/year for small teams. A long-term commitment is required.
Ease of use: Users report the platform is hard to learn and hard to use.
Discovery: The database of only 13M influencers is relatively small compared to competitors’ databases.
Full-featured vs. specialized tool: Traackr is another fuller-featured influencer marketing platform. Associated with beauty brands, it supports six social media platforms, integrates with three e-commerce platforms, but does not offer automated influencer outreach or affiliate support. Traackr’s influencer database is far smaller than Modash.
Modash specializes in influencer discovery, vetting, and tracking. It does those things well.
Discovery: Traackr has 13M influencers in its database. Modash has 250M.
Tracking: Both tools have similar tracking capabilities. Some Traackr users report delays.
Pricing: Traackr minimum price starts at $20k per year. Modash pricing starts at $120 per month (if you pay monthly) making it easy to try.
Purchase risk: Traackr offers a free trial which helps offset the risk of its long-term contract requirement and a high price of entry. Modash is low risk with its free trial, short term contract, and low price of entry.
GRIN is best for large-budget DTC brands who want an all-in-one solution for paid collaborations, and who need a Shopify integration.
Scalability: GRIN helps brands scale their influencer marketing efforts. If manual processes are the limitation to growing your influencer marketing program, a tool like this helps you work with more influencers without hiring more staff.
Comprehensive features: GRIN offers features for nearly all phases of influencer management from discovery to final reporting.
Excellent customer support: GRIN users gush about their customer support.
Influencer payments: Organizing and making influencer payments through GRIN is a helpful feature that allows GRIN users to keep all payments in one place.
Integration with Shopify: Many customers mention the seamless integration with Shopify through GRIN as a strength.
Outreach and communication with influencers: GRIN users appreciate the ability to set up communication sequences with influencers including integrated Gmail inboxes, and the organization provided through the influencer relationship management features.
Discovery: Some customers are not impressed with GRIN’s newer discovery features (post 2022).
Tracking: Some users report challenges with accurate tracking of content produced via affiliates and product seeding campaigns. GRIN is not a fit if product seeding, gifting and influencer events are in important part of your influencer strategy.
Purchase risk: Some customers report being stuck in a long-term contract with GRIN that they want to end. With no trial, a high price, and a long-term contract requirement, this platform requires due diligence. Talk to previous and current users.
Learning curve: Some users report GRIN has a learning curve, especially those new to influencer marketing platforms. Features and analytics can be overwhelming, requiring time to figure out and use effectively.
Limited integrations: While GRIN offers integrations with major e-commerce platforms, users report their integration options are limited compared to other influencer marketing platforms.
Discovery: Modash offers the stronger influencer discovery features. Its influencer database of 250M globally plus the influencer analytics make it a contender for buyers that prioritize a strong discovery tool. Many GRIN users are not satisfied with its discovery features.
Tracking: Modash has the stronger tracking features with its ability to track product seeding, gifting and influencer event content.
Purchase risk: Modash is the lower-risk purchase with its low cost of entry, no long-term commitment, and free trial.
User reviews: Modash and GRIN have different strengths. Modash customers praise its influencer discovery and vetting features. GRIN customers are more impressed by what happens after influencers are selected, the influencer outreach and campaign management features.
HypeAuditor is best for small to midsize brands who need a discovery tool above all else, and who will also benefit from the additional features built into the price. If Stories are an important part of your strategy, HypeAuditor is not a fit--it lacks the ability to due tracking influencer Stories and auto-collect the content.
Influencer discovery: Users love the searchable database of 154M creators for finding talent.
Influencer analysis: After filtering the database for influencers, users love the influencer analytics features like Audience Overlap, Quality Score, and Audience Authenticity. These help with influencer selection.
Shopify integration: Shopify users benefit from the Shopify integration which allows you to track influencer conversions and access sales data.
Campaign organization: Store your contracts and pay influencers all from one platform.
Tracking: HypeAuditor does not track Stories, a potential deal breaker for conversion-focused brands.
No commission payments: HypeAuditor does not offer commission payment functionality.
Small TikTok database: Multiple users reported the number of TikTok influencers in the database is too small.
Team functionality lacking: Lack of multi-user functionality prevents team members from seeing what other team members have done.
Price is high: While initial pricing appears to be low, multiple users report the price as high, as you scale, compared to competitors.
Discovery: HypeAuditor’s database of 154M is much smaller than Modash’s database of 250M. Both provide influencer analytics data to help with the influencer vetting process.
Outreach: Modash does not have automated bulk outreach. HypeAuditor does.
Content tracking: HypeAuditor does not track Stories. Modash does.
CRM: Modash has limited CRM functionality. HypeAuditor does not have a CRM feature.
Ease of use: Both platforms are reported to be easy to use.
Purchase risk: No long-term contract is required with either.
Customer reviews: Overall, HypeAuditor users offer praise for its influencer analytics and ease of use. Some mention billing issues and lack of support for TikTok and Twitter. Modash users love the ability to find and analyze influencers and are highly satisfied customers.

In an industry with no one-size-fits-all solution, it’s important to identify your biggest pain points and requirements and match them with the tool (or tools) that best meets your needs.
If your strategy includes product gifting or seeding campaigns, you’ll need a strong campaign management and tracking tool–one that tracks when each influencer has posted –– or not –– and pulls in data and content for you, without checking every 24 hours for Stories or asking creators to send you their content.
You can collect all the influencer content without having to screenshot Stories on the weekend. You can use the content to fuel your ads. And, finally have a reliable model to grow your brand or agency–without needing additional staff.
